The 2019 legislative session came to a close at midnight on Friday, May 3. With a historical class of 41 House Democrats, 19 Senate Democrats, and our country’s first openly gay Governor making up a Democratic trifecta, your Colorado Democrats delivered boldchanges in policy that will produce real results for Colorado families. Despite facing historical obstruction from Republicans, your history-making majorities in the Colorado House and Senate passed a number of bills that will increase access to and save you money on healthcare, improve educational investment for you and your kids, and result in greater economic opportunities for hardworking folks like you.

Remember — this is YOUR majority, and these are YOUR victories. Without all the hard work that you and other dedicated volunteers put in last year, this historic session would never have become reality. Take a look at these bills, and remember that when the grassroots come together in elections, we can create real, positive change for our homes and our communities.Making Healthcare More Accessible and More Affordable

These bills are proof of why majorities matter. When you compare them to bills being passed in Georgia that criminalize a woman for her healthcare choices, it’s clear to see why it’s important we continue working hard to protect our Democratic majority from sham recalls that are being launched, and ensure we protect these victories in 2020.
